Race Equality Teaching is much more than MCT - Multicultural Teaching under a new title. After twenty seven significant and successful years of leading the debate and recording good practice in education for race equality, the journal now has a special remit to help teachers respond to The Race Relations (Amendment) Act (2000) by which schools and colleges are bound.
Each issue contains 12 to 14 articles, including news, comment and platform pieces as well as the accounts of good practice in primary and secondary schools. Also featured are articles on principles and practice and on relevant recent research. There is detailed and up to date information on printed and electronic resources to support race equality, and an extensive section on upcoming conferences, recent developments, and new initiatives in education and race equality.
